Namaste November: A Journey to Mindfulness
If you’ve been reading my blog so far, you are well aware that my main purpose is to free the black woman from anything that binds her. I believe that the number one thing that binds the black woman is her belief that truth and light comes from anyone and anything that is outside of herself. So, I am doing a series for November to offer you a way to get to know yourself, to show compassion for yourself through mindfulness practices.
The framework for the series, Namaste November, is the Seven main Chakras mixed with elements of cognitively-based compassion. Chakras are energy wheels that are in and around our bodies and are essential to life. Awakening and balancing the energy of each chakra elevates our spirits and when done consistently, can lead to lasting healing and transformation.
Throughout the month, I will offer affirmations for use when you meditate or pray or as you go through your day. I will also offer food suggestions and mindfulness activities that aid in healing and transformation.
